Josh and I went to the Ducks vs. Stanford game on Saturday and it was the most ridiculously wet time I have ever spent at a football game. The Ducks won, which only solidifies my belief that my presence is what is necessary for a win (they have won every game I have attended this season). Unfortunately, this was the last game we are planning to attend this season because Josh has a ski show this coming weekend that coincides with the last home game. For more information about our Duck pride, click
here (Josh keeps telling me to include information, but I refuse to repeat myself because that's how I am. Wooh).
If we were any wetter, we'd be swimming
Thankfully my bro-in-law lent us this old sideline jacket similar to the ones the players wear between drives on inclement days. It was like being in a big, wet sleeping bag but it kept me warm.
Josh didn't wear his cape because he was worried it would get too wet.

Oh my, that does NOT look fun at all! I am sure that it was
though:0) I don't follow sports, but I can tell that you are two dedicated Duck fans.
Oh, it was a blast!!
But, I used to be in the band, so I've experienced some pretty wet games. Although, this was probably the wettest game since Civil War 2001. That was crazy wet.
Yeah... we're pretty hardcore Duck fans (well, I'm hardcore and I think Emily mostly humors me, though she does have a fun time at the games!). Unfortunately, we have to miss the last home game of the season on Saturday because I have to run the Hoodoo booth at the Portland Ski Fever show at the Expo Center all weekend long! :(
I grew up in Oregon, lived in Eugene for a couple of years, graduated high school in North Bend, etc. I have always been a true Ducks fan, but I have to say that I am rooting for the Beavers this year. As much as it pains me to root against the Ducks in the Civil War, it would just be nice to see the Beavers get the Rose Bowl and USC get SQUAT! Unless OR ST loses to Arizona this week... then it really doesn't matter. Maybe I’ve just been desensitized from living out of state so long that I find joy in any state representative doing well. Do I need professional help?
I cannot and never will root for the Beavers.
Never. Not even when they won back-to-back NCAA baseball championships. I just couldn't do it.
My hope is that they not only lose to Arizona this weekend... but that all their starters have minor injuries that prevent them from playing in the Civil War game.
Then, my beloved Ducks will get to play in the Holiday Bowl and the Beavers would probably end up at the Las Vegas Bowl.
And that would be awesome.
Well, now that Saturday is behind us... this week is shaping up to be rather exciting isn't it? The battle will be legendary (cut to snow leopard pumping fist into the air)!
But I can understand where you are coming from. Not having attended the U of O, but rather the U of U, I could never root for BYU. In fact, I find joy in their loss. Not only do I find joy in their loss, but I wish loss upon them at every opportunity.
I hope you don't mind my comments. Thanks and good luck Saturday.
