Yes We Can.

The world is responding with jubilation at a new chapter in the incredible story of this great nation. It's time for America to once again be seen as a land of hope, opportunity and equality. This is the greatest nation on earth... one designed by God to lead the way and set an example for others. We can do that together.

Tuesday night, we did just that. Whether you voted for President-elect Obama, or not... we must unite together to make this country and this world a better place for us and all Americans of every race, culture, creed, age, sex and religion... today and in the future. Yes we can.

thank you for your comment. it is so wonderful to hear of people all across the country who make decisions based on their heart and after much thought and debate. i have so many religious friends and it is at times painful to watch some of them just do things because 'so and so said so'. we all have a brain and a heart and a soul that God touches to guide us and inspire us. you put it so well, "a family is a family, even if they don't share our same beliefs". i admire you for taking a stand that wasn't too popular. several of my religious friends have a taken a beating for the same view you have. thanks again.

I admire your passion for politics. I wish I was more interested in them, but frankly, they bore me. I know how blessed we are to live in a free nation and I do want good, honest leaders. I even feel it is important to vote and that the voice of the people is an important one. I guess I feel like politics have turned into a big game( I don't know if that's the right word to use, but for lack of a better one...) and I don't know who to trust. The amounts of money tha went into the presidential campaigns disgusts me. Really, is all that spending nessasary? Politics just seem a bit corrupt to me. Maybe I just don't understand enough. Then with that being said, if we didn't have them our nation would run amuck(sp.) and everything would be complete chaos. Hmmmm...that's about as deep as I can get on this
