In honor of my now-defunct favorite show Pushing Daisies, and due to the fact that over Winter Break I found myself unable to sit still for very long, I decided to try my hand at pie making. I'm not especially enamored with pie (and there are only two pie eaters in our household anyway since the cats are watching their waistlines), so we brought a few pies to our neighbors.

How fun! You'll have to teach me how to make pies! I have NO idea! Yours look great!! Looks like a fun break!
I'm so glad you've fulfilled the measure of your creation! I've also been experimenting with pies of late and I really outdid myself for Thanksgiving in artistry. I have a little stamp that makes a fleur de lis (the boyscout flower thing that is ACTUALLY the symbol of royal france not grubby little boys) which was the crowning glory of my pastry.
You should look at my other blog page; I have the first pie I made on there.

Also, I have a link to great pie decorating tips, given by the qeueen of pies herself, Martha.
You decorating your cat reminds me that once my brother got so board tht he colored our white cat's nead yellow with a highlighter. She ws yellow for weeks.
I love Pushing Daisies too and I can't believe that they canceled it!
Those pies look great, I can't even imagine how much time it took you to make all those. I'm sure the cats were very disappointed that they didn't get to try any.
I am honored to be the recipient of one of those luscious pies. You can share your talent with us anyday:0)I love the randomness of this post and I would have laughed hysterically at Jack in his food tub too.
